The Rundown
Building on the Christchurch hills is both a science and an art. Getting it right takes big-picture vision and detail-oriented precision. For the average person, looking at a hill site brings up more questions than answers. Where would the house even sit? How would you access it? Will the kids have somewhere to play?
Over the years we noticed that interest in our builds would spike when the answers to these questions revealed themselves. Buyers would come out of the woodwork when construction was complete - or even as soon as the foundation went up. Just ask Jack’s wife Tash - he sold their future family home from underneath her not once, but three times before finally letting her move into one!
Offering House and Land Packages was a natural progression - and we’re big fans of this approach to building on the hill. It brings together the expertise of the right people and simplifies the process for the homeowner.

Our Approach To House & Land Packages in Christchurch
We hunt out a great site (usually off-market) and work out the type of home that will suit it.
Concept plans and costings are developed in conjunction with an architect, engineer and quantity surveyor.
Our Interior Designer pencils in some selections to tie in with the plans, leaving plenty of room for ‘personal touches’ during the consultation process.
We release a fixed price package to the market and enter discussions with anyone interested in the plans.
Any changes are worked out with the buyer, and a sale and purchase agreement is signed.
Consultations start and the build journey gets underway!
We have found that this approach makes for a really enjoyable build journey. A heap of time is saved in the design/consent process and since the whole team involved is already in place, the homeowner doesn’t feel passed around from ‘expert’ to ‘expert’. Having a fixed price in place eliminates the fear of the unknown, and (as with all our builds) there’s also the assurance of the 10 year Master Build Guarantee.
Opportunities
We don’t currently know of other building companies providing House and Land packages on the hill - and we have limited opportunities - so they do get snapped up quickly! We build house and land packages primarily in the suburbs of Cashmere, Sumner, Clifton, Huntsbury, Kennedys Bush, Moncks Bay, Redcliffs, Redmund Spur, Mt Pleasant and Westmorland.
