A Design & Build is for anyone who can’t find what they are looking for on the market, or through House & Land opportunities. Perhaps you have specific needs, or particular features in mind… with a Design & Build, you have complete freedom of choice.
You choose your site, your budget, your architect, builder … every little detail is ultimately up to you. We’re here to make sure this freedom is a blessing - not a curse, by guiding you through every step. Like any good builder, we can pick up a set of drawings, work out costings and bring the plans to life. However, most of our clients choose to bring us on board as soon as they begin looking for a section.

Our Approach To Design & Build in Christchurch
It’s true that it takes more to ‘get out of the ground’ with a hill build. It requires greater compliance and geotechnical advice, more intensive foundation work, and a higher level of design (and design understanding) than when building on the flat.
But we think it’s worth it - and we’ve made it our business to find the best ways of doing it. If it makes the build smoother, more efficient or more enjoyable - then that’s what we’re about. We like to call this ‘building smarter not harder’.
We’ve intentionally kept our core team lean and we only take on a limited number of builds per year. This way we can give you the very best we have in terms of time, energy, and attention.
We’ve worked closely with a range of architects, engineers, and quantity surveyors. We will happily work with your preferred people… or point you in the right direction.
Our project management software is the best on the market. It allows us to plan our jobs effectively down to the smallest detail and gives our clients access to quotes, photos, and progress reports - so they’re in the loop at every stage.
We provide an Interior Designer to guide you through all the design decisions. This helps to ensure that everything fits together seamlessly - and that you don’t lose sight of your brief.
We’re specialists in hill design and build projects, focusing in particularly on the suburbs of Cashmere, Sumner, Clifton, Huntsbury, Kennedys Bush, Moncks Bay, Redcliffs, Redmund Spur, Mt Pleasant and Westmorland.
